Guest guest
hi group- i just read over todays digest and it sound like some people are having problems similar to mine. i go to a ryan white clinic for my meds and lab work i am co-infected with hiv. my case is being followed by a nurse practioner not a doctor. my biopsy showed grade 3 stage 2, fibrosis with bridging. i've been on tx 8 weeks. yesterday when the clinic did labs the nurse practioner said if there isnt a significant drop in my viral load they're stopping treatment. i have type 1a...supposed to do 48 weeks, and i thought they waited 12 weeks to make a decision on progress. i'm very concerned about a nurse practioner making these decisions, but i dont know who to call to do something about it. am i overreacting? i've done a good bit of reading on the subject and stopping tx at eight wks wasnt discussed in any of it. if anyone has any suggestions, please help.
