Guest guest
Hi All. We are planning to start WHY Qs in the coming weeks. So just wanted to get some ideas from the group abt how we can do this. For now when the lead probed the program with a couple of basic qs like, why do eat- he could not say because I am hungry..So she said that thats the answer we are going to teach him without any visuals.. I wanted to check with the group how you all have done this concept, may be some innovative way...Pls give your inputs Thanks a lot for your help
Guest guest
We introduced the concept by, before a session, setting the environment to create opportunities to ask. So, we'd put a chair on the table, a stuffed animal in the bathtub, change the lightbulb to pink, etc. Then, when Isaak came in, we'd wait to see if he noticed first, then, if not, we'd point it out with wide eyes and a big " suck in " , and if he still didn't ask the question, we'd give him a written prompt to ask (e.g., " Why is the chair on the table? " ). Worked GREAT! Audra " Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
