On behalf of the Association for Behavior Analysis International Executive

Council and 2009 Autism Conference Program Committee, we are excited to announce

the Call for Posters for ABAI's 2009 Autism Conference: " Research to

Practice: Making Real Changes in the Lives of People with Autism. " The

event will take place Friday, February 6th through Sunday, February 8th, 2009,

at the Hyatt Regency ville-Riverfront in ville, Florida.

In addition to an exciting line up of invited presentations by some of the

world's foremost contributors to autism research and intervention (see

below), the conference will include a poster session showcasing recent behavior

analytic research and programming related to autism. We invite you to submit a

poster proposal on-line at

The deadline for poster submissions is Wednesday, November 12th. Please note

that a person may be listed as the primary (presenting) author for only ONE

poster.

Posters may (a) present original behavioral research on the assessment,

education, or support of individuals with autism spectrum disorders, (B)

translate an existing body of research into strategies or guidelines for

practitioners, or © describe behaviorally oriented education and treatments

programs and curricula with supporting data on effectiveness. Posters should be

presented in a format accessible to and useful for practitioners. Poster

presenters are encouraged to bring handouts, resource materials, or other

information that will allow attendees to learn more about the treatment

strategy, behavior change tactic, program, or curriculum described on the

poster, and how to potentially implement it with their students or clients.

The conference program will also include two expert panel sessions, during

Conference attendees will also be able to browse a bookstore and explore exhibit

booth displays.
