shyness in little children

Hi there,

My sister is becoming quite concerned about her 4 year old boy's extreme shyness

so I thought I would just mention to the group to see if anybody had any

suggestions on how to help him. He is really softly spoken and often quite hard

to understand so my sister thought taking him to speech lessions would help but

apparently the speech therapist said that because he is articulating all his

sounds ok then there was nothing they could do for him.

So if anybody had any ideas I would love to hear from you.
