Is there a family member that can come in once a wk to help with the housework so that is one less stresser for you.Cause I got a feelin that your still trying to work and keep the house ok.See if family will help with the housework once a wk to make you feel better at having a clean house. It is hard to do everything while on treatment without falling on your face.

Thank you Gail for the words of encouragement! Every bit helps at this point! And at least my employers are being understanding with me... They allowed me to drop my hours to 35-40 hours a week ...down from 45-50.. so that has helped...but some days that is even a strain...but we just keep plugging along...

God bless Gail

Thanks Gail..it definately is overwhelming to try and do everything. Lately I have let everything go...even laundry..I'm about out of underwear... heee heee.. It starts wearing on you emotionally when everything is dusty and dirty and you just can't get up to do it... It's hard to ask for help when you have been soooo independent....But I need help!! Thanks...Love ya, Dorseygail wrote: Is there a

I couldn't even work.I had to quit work at 47 because the hep got so bad. By the time I hit 50 we were looking for a place to live where my husband is from,Cape Breton,Nova Scotia,Canada.I kept going down hill and finally in 98 they decided to put me on treatment and it was at the stage where it could kill or cure me.I was going to go for it or die trying. At that time you had to do three interferon shots a wk and 5 riboveron tablets a day.Thank god the treatments are only one shot now.I was down to 70 pounds by the 10th month of treatment and my white count was seriously low,but the specialist went back to Pakistan for a holiday and my family doctor didn't know what to do.I didn't know until later but my family doctor told my husband he didn't expect me to survive treatment.I sure fooled him and surprised myself.I couldn't do anything around the house.I was a total vegetable with a fowl temper because in the riboveron. My husband had to do everything.

How many adult family members to you have near you?Once or twice a wk they can come and vacum and do the laundry.Personally I throw everything in my washer and when it is full,I turn it on.None of my clothes run or loose their color so it is just one shot and it is done.

When I was on treatment and I wasn't working,I could only stay in a grocery store for 15minutes of shopping and had to leave cause I couldn't walk or stand anymore.God I know how you feel, but swallow your pride and get the help.It will be a good visit for you too.You wash dishes while your friend or family cleans the bathroom and chat away. When your tired have a coffee with your friend and go to the next thing each in a different direction.

It could be fun.
