Guest guest
Hi Elena, I'm glad to see there are other out there doing low carb. I am sort of doing the Carbohydrate Addicts diet where I can eat some bread, pasta or such one meal a day. I do eat a lot of chicken and vegetables. Did the Basic workout last night. I felt great! Cant' wait to do it again today. The side leg lift/crunch things at the end are killer but I'll get them! I'm now on day 3 of the 21 day challenge. Guest guest
<<I eat any bread at all, it's soy protein bread. Are any others out there eating low carb? >> Deb, I was on a low carb diet 2 years ago (called the Montignac method which is very similar to Sugar Busters). I lost 35 pounds. However, as soon as I started to eat "normally" again I gained back 10 pounds. I still adhere to certain principles of low carb dieting (ie I practically don't eat white flour, am careful with high carb veggies and fruits, and very careful with refined sugars, etc...). I'm not an expert in the field, but I do know that your body needs fuel in order to exercise and that fuel is carbohydrates. IMO, I think that making healthy food choices combined with exercise is the best way to achieve permanent weight loss. I do believe that a lot of the principles of low carb dieting are good though... Guest guest
> For me, eating normally is all day! I can out eat my husband. The only way I can control this addiction is to abstain. Hi! Boy! can I relate to that-If i eat 1 Icecream on a Stick-I eat 10--and Anything else that is Carby-like crisps,Pasta and Sunday it happened to be chocolate-To which I am Not usually bothered,I Promised Myself only 1 small bar and ended up eating 200grams-and Going back for more.I had to go to bed to stop Myself eating it,and I had Put it in the freezer at that to make it less attainable-NOT! I belong to Overeaters Anonymous and it has really helped me. Some people are addicted to sugar just like alcohol. I also think Bingers tend to have a Compulsive all or nothing personality! I used to smoke-alot-and try and steer clear of wine-I cannot just have a Glass if I am At home-and then that leasd to the food---Argh! then I got into fitness, and Yes! I am Fanatical...I am a Bore, and Drive my Family nuts with getting fit ..I also Know If I stop-I will stop-and that is why I keep on going! Call me duracell JBunny! LOL the food issue I control by eating salads and Veggies all the time-with lean Chicken and Tuna, and Cottage Cheese, add Salsa to it for a Bite! Regards Janet who actually Practised REAL Restraint Yesterday By Cooking ONLY 50GRMA Of wholemeal Pasta, and No More-and Having that with A Dry stir fry of veg...and then drank ALOT Of water after to Stop me going back for more of-anything
