Dear Fellow Stilligans,

My rheumy has decided that I might be in remission - he is weaning me off

methotrexate; I am down to .3 cc every two weeks; no other meds except Allegra

and occasional Ibuprofen; now I have been having periodic nausea; I'm wondering

if this is a symptom of the AOSD or possibly a withdrawal symptom from the

Methotrexate, which I have been taking for nine years.

Does anyone have any ideas on this? I sure would appreciate any input.

I am not on methotrexate, but Kineret, and I too have days when my stomach

hurts and I am nauseated. I don't know why either. Maybe it is still's. ???

Love Always,

I had welts on my legs and was throwing up more when I was on kineret.

I wonder if it is Still's? I think kineret was a nightmare, well for me

at least. How long were you on kineret? If you get itchy welts on your

legs ice packs work really well. I always had frozen veggies. Corn on

one thigh and peas on the other! lol

love, Sharon

Were you taking the protien powder before you started treatment?

If it is something that you are not used to eating, maybe it is

upsetting your stomach.

I realy think that the eating something fatty with the riba is

essential. I always took it with some banana bread, or somthing

similar, and cream cheese in the morning and a bowl of ice cream in

the evening. I didn't have nausea, in fact gained 10# during

treatment.

I know that a lot of people have nausea that is caused directly from

the riba, but if you have just started eating protien powder, or even

peanut butter, maybe the combination is upsetting your system.

I just hope that you can solve the nausea early so that treatment

doesn't become unbearable.
