Increasing Receptive language

Hello everyone - happy New Year!Sorry about the cross post.

I am looking for ideas on how to work on improving the receptive language for my

6 yr old daughter. She talks more than she can understand, her problem is

understanding. She understands basic stuff but very limited. How can I help her

to increase her undersatnding and relatedness? Anyone ou there with these issues

and what worked for you? At this point, I want her to understand what the

instruction is, what is asked of her, if she gets it she can do it, but most of

the time she doesn't udnerstand what is being asked...I am really desperate for

help. I bought this " teach me language " book, but it's much above her level

beacuse she can't understand what's being told to her.

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
