Best of wishes and prayers, .

Sheena in CA

My husband just found out he has a tumor. They did a CT and ultrasound on him. They don't want to do a biosipy. We are going to see a cancer doctor next week. I am worried he may be faced with surgery to remove it if his liver can handle it. I don't know how bad his liver is scared yet.He was diaognosied with hep c 5 years ago and he got it about 40 years ago. He has been lucky so far with lots of herbs, vitamins, teas and a healthly diet. I hope his luck holds out. in CA

-Hi ,

Hope all goes well for your husband. I will have first CT since

being diagnosed in 1999 on Oct 28th. Biopsied in 2000. I, too, have

taken the supplement route--I was 64 when diagnosed. Had Hep C for

42+ yrs. Just wish there were a better way to check our liver along

the way. My prayers are with you.

There are far less invasive ways to treat tumors now days , so please reseach all options . There is chemo abilation , along with surgery and transplant . Weigh all options and discuss every detail with the doctor before making a decision . God bless you and your family honey and remember we are always here for you .

Hi ,

There are several articles on alpha lipoic acid and low dose naltroxen for cancer. I certainly would consider surgery IF IT WERE ME, but this is nice info to have---especially since you have gone the alternative route. I cannot get any address to come up for me to give you. There is an article in Townsend letters Dec 2007 and when I type alpha lipoic acid naltroxen in the search web space I get several articles. I, too, have had Hep C 40+ yrs and have recently started supps. My urologist ordered a CT scan for Oct 28, so I will know a little more about my liver then. As you are concerned about whether surgery is possible or not, I hope this may offer an alternative for you in case surgery is ruled out. Dr. Berkson, also, wrote an article about it. I wish you luck and hope that it is benign. How will they know without a biopsy? Let us know how the doctor visit

goes.

You are in my thoughts and prayers, SuzoQ
