I have learned recently the importance of having a thorough exam by an

ENT prior to any autism diagnosis. Especially if the diagnosis might be

based on a speech delay. A simple audiology test is not enough. Insist

on a thorough exam prior to having your child observed and diagnosed by

a psychologist.

I really hope that this information will help other parents during this

confusing time.
