Guest guest
My Father cuts long stems of basil off and will keep them in a " vase " of fresh water on a counter. He makes them last weeks this way. I wonder if they would last even longer if the vase was kept in the refrigerator. Just don't use a leaded vase - maybe a mason jar or cup instead. > > > Let's say I want to cut some off and put them in my sprout salad. > > > > Do I trim from the bottom, from the top, or do I snap off the middle of the whole thing, hence making the plants shorter? > > > > I really don't know what to do. I don't want to kill any of the plants because they are growing so tall, and I know I can put sticks in and tie them to the center but I need to know what to do. > > > > Thanks much. > > > > Basil growing Sproutlady Melody > > lol > > > >
