Hi, I was under a specialists care and didn't have a biopsy before treatment. I asked for one and then especially after when I came back online and heard everyone talking about the biopsy, plus other people I knew had one. My Dr. tho' didn't feel it was necessary. He gave me valid reasons at the time and told me it was up to me. I was so wiped from the tx that at the time I said, ok... but I would like to know the figures so I think I'm going to go and ask for one. You do recommend one, don't you?

I'm so confused lately..

Do you only know the extent of liver damage by having a biopsy? Or can you tell by a blood test? I remember my general Dr. telling me not too long ago that after a blood test, my numbers were the same and I was too 'stupid' to ask what, why or ???.... sheesh, these guys can sure screw around a persons head at times.

Thanks for any advice.
