As well as apply many aspects of applied behavior analysis programming! Position: Paid and unpaid internships / Direct Support (psychology or special education) Behavior Specialist (some experience preferred) BCBA’s (preferred) *Note: this position can fulfill your BCBA supervision requirement. Qualifications/Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in human service field (Preferably special education, psychology or applied behavior analysis) 1500 hours experience assisting with behavior programming (examples include implementation of behavior management plans, giving feedback on modification of plans, hands on teaching of people with developmental disabilities or Autism) OR BCBA OR Licensed Clinical Psychologist Location: Chicago metropolitan area & suburbs may be an option as well. Provider must have a car available. Population options: Community integrated living arrangement (CILA) for adults with developmental disabilities, Adult and Children’s Home Based services, Home verbal behavior programming for children with autism in homes and/ or school settings depending on experience. Verbal Behavior cases will not be given unless they are supervised or have experience. Duties: Duties may include but are not limited to: Functional assessment and intervention including: Behavior plan development and monitoring of data Data collection Staff training Program development Monitoring to reduce and manage problematic behaviors For trained practitioners in verbal behavior programming: Duties could include language assessment and other skills assessment, home programming oversight/ consultation and some possible school consultations. Hours/Supervision: Flexible – Easy to schedule around your classes! You may apply to do part time hours or full time hours. You can let me know how many hours you would like. Opportunity to work some hours from home (e.g., writing behavior programs) BCBA supervision available - Many training materials that represent best practices are available and developed.
