Guest guest
Hey Guys, I just posted a series of 12 videos on Youtube that cover part of a 2 hour presentation I gave on ABA/VB in Trondheim Norway last month. I wasn't sure if I would post it or publicize it as it is reasonably basic info and I had to do it off the cuff. The group there had almost know knowledge of ABA let alone VB. So, I had to adjust my talk to cover the basics of why Behaviorism is so important to the Autism Population. There is a video of one child we worked with showing our process of earning instructional control with his parents. You can see his progress over 6 months. Anyway, I just got this message from Deleon (thanks again for the kind words) and she convinced me the videos had worth so that is why the email. Here is the email she sent me... " I just wanted to tell you how much I have enjoyed watching your YouTube videos. I still have to watch video 11 and 12 but I just absolutely love how well you explain things. Your examples are so great and easy to understand! I have always worked hard to explain things to parents in an easy to understand way but your explanations are incredible! I am doing a free introduction talk for some parents next Friday and hope you don't mind me using your style of explaining things as an inspiration for my explanations of some of the concepts. I already refer parents to your website all the time and now I will be referring them to this video series as well. Well done! Have a great day " ~ DeLeon, M.S., BCBA Navigation Behavioral Consulting " Navigating the world of behavior, changing the course of people's lives " http://www.navigationbehavioralconsulting.com http://blog.navigationbehavioralconsulting.com So for those of you interested in seeing a basic entry level explanation of ABA/VB, want to see a video of some of our work (5 years old but still interesting) or are thinking about coming to my workshop and want to get an idea of how I present info. Feel free to go to the following link for the first part. Otherwise you can always go to Youtube and search my name. It should pop up for you. Take care. _________________________________ Schramm, MA, BCBA Author of Educate Toward Recovery: Turning the Tables on Autism www.lulu.com/knospe-aba www.knospe-aba.com _________________________________ " There is no greater testament to character than the selfless act designed to go unnoticed "
