POSITION:     Autism Therapist needed in Bermuda

 

Duties include: 

 

* Working, under the supervision of an experienced consultant, with children on

the autism spectrum, assisting them to develop language and social skills.

Application of the existing programs, including accurate data recording, weekly

goal setting and program planning, along with team meetings and ongoing program

modifications are essential to this position.

* Attending school as a classroom aide, assisting children on the autism

spectrum and their teachers with integration into classes, lessons, and the

school environment.

 

Qualifications to include:  Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or Bachelor of

Applied Science, Child Youth and Family Studies.  Must have some hands on

experience working with children on the autism spectrum.  Must have a good

knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorders, and aspects of associated behaviours.
