A lot of people with Hep C avoid taking iron, but in your case I would guess it is to help build your liver and blood. But that is all it is, a guess. I would be very much interested in knowing what your doc says, though. I hope you will post more on the subject soon. Generally iron is not good for unhealthy livers, but sometimes the docs have to choose the lesser of two evils for the right outcome. Suppose you were an idiot.
