Guest guest Posted October 1, 2009 Report Share Posted October 1, 2009 Hi, Though we say we start with manding, (for the " expressive, " I'm especially ok with that) we must (more fundamentally?) start with " tacting " (labelling things) to make any sense of the temporal or sequential otherwise is my sense of it, of developing the " receptive " so we can communicate with language, (of such a language?) for what language is worth in that respect of reason/ing.. . Narrating (a form of moving tacting? of describing things and what is going on, sequentially?) should prove a simple way to start that process, of identifying things, of the things the child is interested in of how things work in that respect of his world and what would be motivating for him and that he would work for with respect to ABA and operant conditioning even if not especially. His response to that (of your intuitive choices in that respect, of your analysis if not understanding?) would be the essence of " communication, " I Feel (what I would be more than just hoping your teaching would be primarily about, of my practicing as much? as deferring to the highest level of communication that you are getting from the student to be supporting it?) especially where you reasonably and considerately respond to as much, for what communication itself is worth, to you? .. . The initial process of tacting/narrating strangely, perhaps, could be just as easily seen if not better understood as being of " stimulus conditioning, " in that the student learns whatever (of the primary things? of words or labels, or whatever) somewhat " after " feeling a certain way, (where not feeling directly that way) should I suggest, of being rewarded, nurtured, or cared for of as much? Don't forget to incorporate " stimulus conditioning " (nurturing, perhaps) in all that you're trying to do, (of going with what works?) for all that operant conditioning can be and do in that respect of what we need, to learn, and be motivated to learn, I would volunteer, Thereof.. .
