Need help with 1:1 correspondence

I have a student who we are trying to teach 1:1 correspondence. He is doing fine

counting out 1:1 up to 4 or 5 and after that he is not consistent. We have tried

stimulus shaping, looked at reinforcement, and seem to have run out of ideas

other than continuing to practice teaching it.

Any ideas are welcome.
