Guest guest
Hi Everyone! I wanted to introduce myself to the group and throw out a few questions: I consider myself new to sprouting, although I grew up watching my mom sprout in a glass jar. I bought a bio-set sprouter close to ten years ago, but I gave up on sprouting because of food safety concerns. I am serious enough about getting healthy that I wanted to give sprouting another chance and read a few things saying that some of the safety concerns from the past were out of proportion to reality. That being said, what are some of your safety guidelines for cleaning your spouters. I now have a few easy sprouters. . . What are your practices in between batches? soap and water? bleach? hydrogen peroxide? grape seed extract? If you are using hydrogen peroxide or grape seed extract, I would be curious on why you think this is a good method. I guess I am living on the wild side right now! I have just used soap and water so far. . . Steve
