Hi there,

My son is 11 years old and I am wanting to teach him to put his clothes on the

right way around. He is able to dress himself but he often puts on his clothes

back-to-front. I guess I just need to teach him that the label goes at the

back and just keep practising this?

Has anybody got any other ideas?

Thanks a lot,

I would recommend you start with t-shirts with a picture on the front or shirts

with collars and have him put these shirts face down on the bed. Also have him

practice with pants with a clear front and back and have him lay his underwear

and shorts front side up....you can do fluency drills with laying out clothes

too so he gets more practice with laying out clothes the correct way...outside

of dressing. Once he has the skill mastered, you can start to incorporate

clothes that are more tricky such as shirts with no pictures and shirts with

logos on the front and back.
