Guest guest
Hi ya lovely Maree I've just been quiet this week - sometimes I am overly sensitive and I was just feeling a little p***ed so took myself away to a quiet corner for a little sulk. Probably would have stayed there but I needed to wish Mel good luck on her travels. Regarding your surgery Maree. My experience my sweet is that you will feel so much better for sorting out your band issues, whether it just be the port or port/band/hernia. Heartburn is the pitts and I don't know why anyone would put up with it a minute longer than necessary. And I reckon when you feel it burning what the hell is it doing to your insides long term. Heartburn is the symptom but you need to establish the cause - whether it be as simple as overfill or the dreaded slip or hernia... So good for you for letting your Dr know of your issues. Finding out you require further surgery can throw you, a hurdle you didn't need and particularly when you are respectful of your band. The waiting is unsettling. The initial pain and discomfort can knock you about short term. But then Maree you are back to good health 'quick sticks' with a bloody band in perfect working order. I wouldn't have it any other way. So yes you will be feeling apprehensive but you are doing the right thing - resolving your problems. Good health is only around the corner, girl, and don't it feel good. Lots of love to you Maree Lorraine > > Where'syabin??I was asking about you and Cheryl last night. Guest guest
You are right Lorraine, I read an alarming thing about the esophecus when I was researching my sister's cancer. It is scary and if there are problems with it there seems there is little or no remedy, so being a smoker as well is why I am so jumpy about it. Also, I have never been a pill popper. I take my heart meds and resent having to do so but I am not happy about the thought of long term Zantac. I personally reckon everything that fixes one thing buggars another. I just want it to be right again. Naturally, I'm not happy about surgery but it would be a worse fate if I couldn't continue with the band, SOOO whatever it takes. Glad you've moved on from whatever worried you. I too need space when upset and goodness help whoever distracts me when I'm in a mood. It's awful but what can you do other than ride it out? We will catch up tomorrow. Love, M. xx
Guest guest
No Maree I won't be seeing you over the weekend. I'm going overnight to Brisbane tomorrow for my sister's 50th birthday. Thought I should do the right thing - might earn myself a brownie point or two! LOL Enjoy the get together! Guest guest
Hi there, Good to hear your fill has started to behave. A little birdy told me on Tuesday that it was starting to get better which I was very glad to hear. Hope it stays right for a while now. I did send a couple of emails to your own address but I assume you either didn't get them or don't want to talk to me. Not that I blame you - I am about over talking to me too. Hope your weekend jaunt was not too tiring. Have a good week Jen
