Hi, I was wondering if anyone has heard of or seen students being instructed

about their surroundings and its relation to their bodies in what is called a

" Psychomotor lesson " . So the instructor would say move up to the front, move

back, move right foot and things of the type for a a whole 40 minute session. Was

this something done in the past?

Also ; about occupational therapy. I believe very much in application of

occupational therapy to address specific difficulties that a student has like in

writing,hand-grip. Also using sensory needs as reinforcers e.g. a reward of some

type of water play for a child who enjoys playing with water. But has anyone

seen effective a session of OT within a school(40 minutes)doing things as

" brushing " and what are called as " calming " exercises. I personally see it like

something that I heard was done in the past known as " hugging therapy " when the

theory of " refrigerator mothers " .was dominant.

I would greatly appreciate listers' feedback .
