FREE Parent Training Series

Parents as Partners: Behavior Basics

Want to go out in public without dealing with temper tantrums?

Wish your child behaved at home the way they did at school?

Want to know how to prevent problem behavior from occurring?

Participants will learn how to:

Figure out why the behavior is occurring (Session 1)

Prevent problem behaviors from occurring (Session 2)

Teach individuals new skills to replace problem behavior (Session 3)

Effectively deal with problem behavior when it does occur (Session 4)

Hands on activities, lecture, and discussion will assist all audience

members in learning how to interact effectively with individuals and their

families. To get the most out of the training , it is strongly encouraged

that participants attend all four sessions.

Executive Director of Beautiful Minds of Princeton and Board Certified

Behavior Analyst, Umstead will share her personal and professional

experiences with families and individuals affected by autism spectrum

disorders (ASD). She has presented workshops here and around the world on

autism, behavior, and social skills. A former general and special education

teacher, she has been Adjunct Faculty at Rider University. Additionally, she

helped raise her younger sister with autism.

When: 6:30 p.m.-9 p.m. Tuesdays (April 13th, April 27th, May 4th, May 18th)
