TRAINING IN THE NEEDS OF STUDENTS WITH AUTISM

Workshop Description:

In response to the growing number of children being diagnosed with autism, New

York State now requires that all persons applying for a teaching certificate or

license as a special education teacher or as a school administrator who works

in special education, complete course work or training in the needs of children

with autism. The law requires that the course work or training be obtained

from a provider that has been approved by the State Education Department to

offer such training. Eden II Programs/Genesis Outreach Autism Center is

approved by the New York State Education Department to provide this training. A

Certificate of Completion will be provided to all registrants upon completion
