What can be done to help a 4yo increase attention span, focus, eye contact?

Hi ,

Reward for it more by also focusing on it yourself (of your child? of what

motivates typical children if not everything else) more, and less on

anything/everything else? of how that works? (with the structure commonly

associated with doing ABA, which would need more of an elaboration than I am

willing to provide here, but can be somewhat ascertained by purchasing a good

user's manual on it and trying to follow it, as by Lovaas, Maurice, Partington,

Barbera, Schraam, etc.) being careful not to over prompt (by fading prompts and

rewards (the ones that work for your child now) to what would be more typical of

what world you are preparing your child for) and spoil the child from doing what

he can do for himself.

I may have a broader take on ABA than is commonly realized?!.

Make the truth (of understanding more?) your thing.. . (please?) of Justness,

such justness and fairness (as for the individual [in question?] in that

respect, that there could be any other kind of justness) Make sure you're

evaluating whether your child is actually understanding what you're teaching him

or her (of mastery? of fluency, of your child's interests) of making that

(Justness? such justness) your thing, of such thing? (that any other *social*

should matter.. .

If you treat your child like a pet you'll end up with a pet, (or slave?) if not

worse. Go with what *works.* Don't continue to do what doesn't work at a rate of

at least 50%, for long (of what you're striving for, for your child? of what

your child is interested in in getting what you're interested in? of

Communication?!. Hello [use narration of what you feel might interest your child

where nothing else seems to be working in that respect and respond

intelligently/ reasonably for what you get from as much of giving that *your*

attention?!. towards errorless learning, Hello? again?

That should help you with many things to *try,* (towards an application of the

scientific method, and *for* what, Ultimately?!.) on how to proceed with as

much.. .

You have to analyze that *for your self* (of as much) for such understanding,

(of, what I put into it deserves if not demands as much of *you* for as much?!.)

no doubt. (That, as a figure of speech.. .) Nothing would be clear/clearer

otherwise is my sense of It, of what is so clear?!. I'm thinking that's plenty

enough to work with for what could be so/more meaningful, Thereof

On a a more specific note to making eye-contact, etc.:

I got my son to look into my eyes by trying to look into his eyes and rewarding

him for doing so, and increasing that as desired (rewarding him by giving him

what he liked and wanted, of understanding as much, of putting that to my eyes

for his and rewarding accordingly) of getting such *feeling/s* across.

Hello? (A great way to deal with behavior you're not sure of?!. perhaps

I'm thinking the issue isn't in getting the child/student to look at what he

likes? (knowing as much?) of drawing upon that to get him or her to look at your

eyes? (and rewarding accordingly?) of our figuring out as much as we can for our

selves by as much.. . of, putting the pieces of the puzzle together I mean by as

much, Thereof

It's my sense that we need such distinctions, or

It's funny how that works? for some things, no doubt, of All that we can be by

as much, I'd be thinking, as feeling, of as much (that I need other people's

criteria for justice and success.. .

I find it surprising how much that has to do with serving *justness* and dealing

with abuse? of what reason (Understanding More, for our selves?) does and is

reciprocal too, if you don't mind me saying as much, for as much, Thereof? .. .
