Developing IEP Goals and Objectives

Tuesday-Wednesday, November 16 - November 17, 2010

8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The Wayman Center, Plano, Texas.

Presented by: Gail Wayman, M.Ed., Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

and Callie Simms, M.A., Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Developing IEP Goals and Objectives is a two-day training opportunity for

professional educators (teachers, SLP's, etc.) who work with children with

autism spectrum disorders and/or other developmental disabilities. This

workshop will be a combination of lecture and hands-on activities, and each

participant will be given a handout and CD. The workshop will include the

following topics: Criterion-Referenced Assessment; Selecting Goals from

Assessment; Writing IEP Goals that are Measurable and Observable.

Effective Instruction for Children with Autism and Other Developmental

Disabilities

Wednesday - Friday, December 8 - December 10, 2010

8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

and Callie Simms, M.A., Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Effective Instruction for Children with Autism and Other Developmental

Disabilities is a three-day training opportunity for

professional/paraprofessional educators (teachers, assistants, SLP's, etc.)

who work with children with autism spectrum disorders and/or other

developmental disabilities. This workshop will be a combination of lecture,

hands-on activities, and direct observation of therapy sessions. This

workshop is most likely to be beneficial to participants who have some

background knowledge of basic behavioral principles (reinforcement,

extinction, etc.) and the verbal operants (mands, tacts, intraverbals,

etc.). Each participant will be given a handout and CD. The workshop will

include the following topics: Implementation of Intensive Discrete-Trial

Teaching; Analyzing and Reducing Problem Behaviors; Effective Use of

Prompts; Motivating Reluctant Learners; Data Collection and Graphing

Relevant to Instruction; Record Keeping; Making and Organizing Instructional

Materials.
