Guest guest
Dayton Area Families for Effective Autism Treatment Wishes you a Fond Farewell They say all good things must come to an end, and this old English saying pretty much sums it up for Dayton Area Families for Effective Autism Treatment (DAFEAT). After almost nine years, our organization is disbanding and DAFEAT's officers and directors are finishing the behind the scenes work to close down our 501©3 in accordance with the Ohio Attorney General's Office and the Better Business Bureau. Our dissolution was a tough decision to make, but the rigors of running a non-profit with a handful of volunteers outpaced our collective stamina, and we are pressing ahead to pursue other endeavors at a slower tempo. As we look back, we feel so lucky to have hosted so many fantastic speakers who educated us on numerous levels. Thank you Lynn Hamilton, Dr. Amber Valentino, Flake, L. Barbera, Kirby, Dr. Carl Sundberg, Nick , Dr. Jed Baker, Kim Norman, Dr. Jan o, Dr. DeMio, Joyce Peet, Ralston, Sogan, Jon , Doug Krinsky, Barb Yavorcik and several others. We are also blessed to have made so many friends (parents, tutors, teachers, providers, former DAFEAT members, donors, board and committee members, etc.). They made our journey a powerful one with their great attitudes, selflessness, strength and good will. It's been an amazing ride. And last, but certainly not least, we want to salute all the children and adults with autism we've met along the way. We learned so much from you, and you've given us tremendous strength. You all will forever remain our heroes. Thank you and God bless.
