Guest guest
Hi everyone, I was a pretty heavy contributer on the " " and " Verbalbehavior " groups for several years from 2001 to about 2007. I learned so much from everyone and spent many years trying to share that info. In 2006 I published ETR and found it more and more difficult to email here without coming across like a slimy book promoter. Lack of time and the desire to not force people to read emails about " my book " slowed my roll so to speak. I am sure that has been to the delight of several of you :-). I have been able to move on knowing that you are all getting such good advice from people whose opinions I respect, like Steve Ward and Deleon, Reg Reynalds, Regina Frey, etc. etc. However, as I have been working on an updated version of ETR (possibly with a changed title), I find myself needing to share my ideas and hear critiques on them more and more. As I know there are people here who will think every mention I make of my book is a blatent attempt to sell it, I have not felt comfortable doing it here. I have however, recently started a Knospe-ABA facebook page. This page is where I will be talking about all the ABA and Autism related issues I am dealing with including - workshops I am attending/presenting, updates on the new edition of the book, new procedures that we are trying out, and there are many of you whose opinion I would like to be able to still get on programming topics. Right now we are in a hotly debated discussion on whether control children exist and if so, what would be a better way to describe the behavior I identify in ETR-2006 as control. Hint: the term CounterControl is making its way into the discussion thanks to Regina and Dr. Dennis Delprato. I could not be more excited about the discovery. So, Steve, Reg, Regina, and others who would be interested in these types of discussions, please feel free to go to the following link and " like " the Knospe-ABA page. Or just go to facebook and search Knospe-ABA. By liking the page you sign up to have updates sent to your wall and you can post your thoughts to the topics of the day etc. If you decide it is not for you, you can unlike me as quick as you liked me. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Knospe-ABA-Autism-Institute/193027157390225?v=wall Don't get me wrong, I will still hang out here lurking and jumping in when I can, but I will be active at the Knospe-ABA page on a daily basis. I hope to see many of you there. _________________________________ Schramm, MA, BCBA Author of Educate Toward Recovery: Turning the Tables on Autism www.lulu.com/knospe-aba www.knospe-aba.com _________________________________ " There is no greater testament to character than the selfless act designed to go unnoticed "
