Guest guest
My daughter Caroline is going to the dr. on Thursday for a consultation. We are meeting with the neurosurgeon and a person from Cranial Technologies. My concern is this... my daughter is almost 7 months old and her head is flat on the right side. It's not the worst case of plagio and it hasn't gotten worse in the last few months since she now sleeps on her side and stomach, but it hasn't gotten much better yet either. Is there any way that her head could round out on its own? I have noticed that some people have already asked that question, but I don't recall ever seeing any replies to that question. So I don't know if anyone here knows if it could round out on its own. I am just afraid that the dr. and Cranial Technologies will say she definitely needs a band because that is how they make money and if they tell us it could round out without the band, they might lose out on our business. The band is SOOOOOOO expensive and my insurance company has already told me they don't cover the band. So I just want to make sure that the band is the only way that Caroline's head can be fixed. Does anyone know if any baby's head has ever rounded out on its own, without the band or a helmet? Thanks!
