Guest guest
Speaking of STD, I got into quite a debate at a party Saturday with an urgent care nurse because she said they classify hcv as an std, even though she knows the sexual transmission risk is so low. I conceded that it was possible if there was rough sex, or the woman was on her period and the man also had an opening for the blood to blood contact, but named off a dozen or more other ways that were more risky and she still didn’t change her opinion. She’s still in school now for a higher nursing degree, so they must be teaching this in school. I was flabbergasted. Hopefully it was her doctor’s opinion (who she seems to idolize) and not something they teach at school. RE: Brand New Hi Page! I am in the same boat you are right now! I was just told on Friday that my Hep C test was positive and I have never even touched IV drugs, no one in my world has actually! I have never had any health issues until last month when my OBGYN found a dermoid cyst on my ovary! I went for my Pre-OP on Monday last week and my ALT levels were at 101 and they wanted me to get cleared by my regular Dr, he ran the Hep test and low and behold it came back positive! I am holding ALL hopes that it was a false positive because he told me that is a possiblity. Its so scary, I am 25, just got married in September and now I feel like my world is falling apart! I dont know what to expect, I truely thought Hep C was a STD, until this week with doing research! I hope all works out with you, I am praying for everyone with this, its so scary to me! Feel free to wite me anytime, I am new with this Internet board thing.
