The Elija Foundation's (www.elija.org) " Dance a thon " , is a three-hour fun filled evening dance marathon! (Great place to drop off your youth group or Teens on a friday night! Great cause! Good time. Fully Chaperoned event!) It is a celebration in honor of the siblings and other community youth who living, playing or touched by individuals with autism. The brother’s, sister’s and friends of those with autism, play such a critical role in the lives of those affected by this lifelong disorder. This event is in effort to support the social and emotional needs of the siblings and to support the efforts of other community youth , while providing them with a fund filled night of music, dancing and excitement, while they help raise money for Elija’s Autism " Family Support " Fund. EVERYONE IS WELCOMED TO ATTEND AND PARTICIPATE! DANCE TO ALL YOUR FAVORITE HOLIDAY TUNES With autism at an alarming 1 in 91, and the profound impact autism has on a family unit, your support in this event will help The Elija Foundation continue to provide free parent trainings, advocacy, support and family friendly recreational events. This will no doubt relieve some of the family issues that are prevalent, and give access to children with autism and their families to these much needed services. Our goal is for all individuals with autism and their family members, to have equal opportunity to receive services that can improve their quality of life. Want to join us? Here’s what you need to do: 1. Register with us! Let us know you will be there 2. Download and have the waiver signed .NEEDED for Entry NO EXCEPTIONS 3. Bring a minimum entry donation of $25! Every Additional $10 Donation over the minimum $25 will earn you a raffle ticket ** NOTE: - If you are accompanying a paying child with Autism, you will be admitted FREE - Children UNDER 5 who are accompanied by a paying adult admitted FREE. 4. Get ready to dance for 3 hours! Participants will be asked to bring an entry donation of $25 to enter. The Dance A thon will take place at the Levittown Community Hall on Friday night 6:30 PM †" 9:30 PM (Dancers must be there at 6:00 to check in !) Dance a Thoners will be encouraged to stay on the dance floor as much as possible for the full 3 hours: but it is ok to take breaks : we recommend atleast 1 x 5 minute break per half an hour! Snacks and soda will be available for purchase throughout the night. Water is free. PRIZES For the individual who raises the most money you will receive a $100 American Express Card! RAFFLES Raffles are on sale for $2 dollars each. But for ever $10 you raise over the Minimum $25 amount you will get 1 ticket free!
