Hi All

I want to ask your help on this problem we are having with our 6 yr old who

refuses to do any writing/ coloring/cutting activities now. At school and At

home, upsets him a lot, lesser anger at school but more at home, earlier he

would not get angry at school but now he has started doing that too.

We worked on Letter writing program and he mastered tracing letter, writing

letter. However he would only work with markers and he would not space the

letter very appropriately but he could write all letters uppercase and lowercase

without a model. But the senior said he should be ok.

Similarly for coloring, cutting  and basic drawing we went through all SD's and

he did them. Activites were non preferred always, but then following the same

cycle that he does with any program they then became highly preferred to the

extent of doing the same thing over and over again and then BAU and then we are

back to being non preferred. He can do all the tasks to say but is not moving

from what he learnt a year ago. Considering that he will get it at school and

its not so preferred we did not push a whole lot at home  after he mastered SD's

in therapy and therapists just did the SD's as part of maintenance.

But  now school is demanding more and expects indeopendence in these tasks

however he is not trying also and tops it with the resistance and getting upset.

His school OT also  seems to be getting stalled, like she does not know what to

do and asks me...

Pls help me ,what shd be we doing?

Thanks
