Guest guest Posted December 19, 2010 Report Share Posted December 19, 2010 ABA Behavior Therapist/Shadow Aide Required Overseas for a Canadian Family We are a Canadian family with a 7 year old son who has PDD-NOS and we reside in Kuwait. We require an ABA Behavior Therapist/Shadow Aide to join our team. Our son's ABA/Verbal Behaviour program is being supervised and training is being provided by a U.K. Center, C.E.I.E.C.. We are the first family to bring C.E.I.E.C. and ABA to Kuwait 5 years ago. Our son has been on this program for the last 5 years and has seen tremendous progress. The responsibilities of the ABA Behavior Therapist include Verbal Behavior Therapy with NET and DTT, and emphasis on one-on-one therapy to develop verbal skills, imitation skills, independent play skills, social skills, self-help skills, fine motor skills and gross motor skills. Responsibilities also include some shadowing of our son at a mainstream school and implementing his IEP and Verbal Behavior therapy therein. In addition to assisting him in the Challenger Division of Kuwait Little League (which we have helped set up) and tball. Data recording and attending team meetings will also be required. This is an opportunity to travel and help a child at the same time. Comprehensive package includes competitive non-taxable annual salary and accommodation allowance in the range of US$70,000-US$80,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience, plus benefits which include airfare,residence fees, government health insurance, paid public holidays, paid sick days and professional development or health club allowance will be provided.
