Guest guest
All the time. And the things I learn. Well, guess what? Alan is helping me make the sunflower sprouts tonight. I gave him an ultimatum. If he wanted to eat dinner, he had to help me. lol Melody > > > > Mel, > > The answer is no. Those seeds are very immature. When I harvest peas for the seeds, it is only after the pods have turned brown and dried up. And the seeds get much bigger. > > But, they're good eating aren't they? > > ew > > > > To EW. Guest guest
I just fell off of my chair. Melody P.S. and this is not funny either. Alan's ex girlfriend had been calling him when she got lonely. Can you believe this? After 40 years. He told her to leave him alone. She never got the message. She called and she called. We finally blocked her number. He had no idea why I would be upset. He walked around like peacock. Soon to be 65 peacock! lol > > I'm sure Alan is relieved. > Beverly > > > Re: Re: To EW. Guest guest
Maybe she has Alzheimers and still thinks she is in the 60's. I dreamed about an old boyfriend the other night. I heard he died off the coast of Vietnam but I never found his name on the monument. I was dating someone else at the time, but he was a nice kid. Why would i dream about him after all these years? Guest guest
Is there a monitor for this group? I apologize for being cranky, but this is inappropriate. > > > > > > I'm sure Alan is relieved. > > > Beverly > > > > > > > > > Re: Re: To EW. Guest guest
This group does not have a monitor. If you want to comment about the inappropriateness of a message, contact Gil, who is the owner of this site, at sproutpeople.org. ew Re: Re: To EW. Guest guest
Hi Carolyn, I agree with you. Everyone ought to make an effort to keep topics relevant. On snow peas, spring has sprung early over here in Japan, and I was looking around for a great pea and bean inoculant. There is a pack sold at gourmetseeds dot com, but I wonder if anyone has something homemade developed, and if, in the sprouting stages, snow peas have other optimum conditions like temperature and when to expose to sunlight. Have a favourite variety of snow peas? Here is my list of possible suppliers: (most dot com) VictorySeeds GourmetSeeds (have Bavicchi big packs) RealSeeds co uk GrowItalian (US site) (Franchi Sementi big packs) SeedsFromItaly (UK site) (Franchi Sementi big packs) Halcyon (US) has a list of many more Cheers, Duncan
Guest guest
I am all for keeping on topic. If you wish to talk about other things, start up a new yahoo group! I had been on two milk kefir yahoo groups, and instead of talking about milk kefir grains, one member was constantly ragging on the medical profession. He insulted me as well as a nurse -- both of us having been injured on the job and due to inability for regular exercise, are obese but we're working on it. I quit, swearing I would never, EVER join a yahoo discussion group. For you guys, I made an exception to the promise. Please -- let's keep on topic. I don't want to discuss patent disputes between blender companies. I have had enough of that sort of politics myself. I have greatly enjoyed soil-free mediums vs soil possibilities, and I find it extremely educational. And yes, Melody and , I do like your input. -- great logic. -- wonderful dissertations. And you all have great patience for us newbies to sprouting. I was raised on yucky alfalfa sprouts, but I am in love with any of the onion family, pea shoots and pea sprouts, red cabbage, etc... Sprouts, even in the first week of consumption, I felt better... improved balance... great phyto-nutrients without the anti-nutrients. What a huge improvement. And when all is said, sprouts are still cheaper than fresh greens here in Alaska. But the nutritional value is so much more important. Thank you for all your wonderful input. Let's continue on to promote sprouts and the wonderful things you can do with them. I would just hate to leave a chat room because its emphasis isn't being... emphasized... (For lack of a better term. My brain is tired tonight.) Keep on Sprouting!
