I can identify with the comment that the family who had it would not

talk about it.

My paternal grandmother looking back now with what we have learned was

the genetic link to CMT. She had 14 children. Standing in a room at a reunion

I could eyeball many with the symptoms that I and my girls have.

I started to inquire and was met with a thick layer of denial.

NO ONE FELT THEY HAD A PROBLEM... NO ONE WANTED TO KNOW..NO ONE WANTED

TO DISCUSS IT.

One cousin in particular actually made a mockery of my questions.

I know on a case by case basis people practice denial. However here we

had an entire family tree deeply commited to denial.

Hello Tammy,

I can understand your feeling I wish they would talk about

that denial stuff just isn't right what if C M T gets worse as

generations go I am going to tell my son about what he is going thru
