Hi all,

I would like to know please those of you who are now using/wearing the plastic

no hinge or joint AFOs do you feel atrophy in your feet and legs?

And please to those of you who have stopped using them or it (if it was just

one) how do you get the strength back in your leg/feet, by PT?

I have worn only one on my left foot/leg for 1 and 1/2 years and sometimes after

work when I get home and take it off to do my excercies my leg feels so heavy.

If I stopped using this altogether would my leg feel normal again? I try to

excerise every day, either the floor excerise, Sansone excerise of my

treadmill.

Oh sometimes I just don't know if it is worth it. I have drop foot of

course on the left and have not had one of these for 57 years because I didn't

even know what they were, nor did any doctor look into my odd

walking gait. Well thank you all for reading this and have a great

Veterans Day.

Hi Dawn,

I am looking at the posts, but I wanted to know. What do you use for drop foot?

Anything? I hear about the Composite AFO and the Helios and I just don't know.

Now I feel I am getting dependent on this plastic AFO and I reall don't want to.

Help.. and thanks so much Dawn for responding.

:) Elaine
