They would help with swelling and potential clots. They do require strength to pull them up, especially the whole leg stockings, but maybe you could wear the knee-high ones if the others don't work. Guest guest Posted January 16, 2008 Report Share Posted January 16, 2008 While you didn't ask, here are some other ideas to prevent/minimize clot/thrombus formation on long flights: Drink fluids. Water is best. Get up and walk around periodically. Try not to cross your legs, ie., create pressure points.
