Vitamix website has great recipes and instructions. Enjoy delicious health.

>I never used the vitamix to make icecream or soup.  I did get an incecream

maker and can make sorbet though haven't yet.  I have made icecream.  I try to

keep sugar a bit low.  I guess I should try to get me a new cookbook for

vitamix.  I have a little cottage in AR and it might be there.  I am thinking

that I still had it somewhere.  So much was gotten rid of when I cleaned out the

sheds.  I always think of yogurt as healthy but I didn't use greek yogurt and i

don't make it myself.  I have heard that is not too complicated though.  I

nevermade soup either.  I think I tried it once and it was blah.  Guess depends

on herbs and also what you put in it.

yogurt in mine! Ice cream, sorbet, and sherbet made in the Vitamix are

amazing-no bad stuff, no fat, delish!

I think it is the Super 5000.  It came with the dry  blender too.  That is

whatis missing as it was in storage and I never used it.  Was still in a box.

Mine is white and has the  dial to dial it up.   I think it is dial instead of

just a switch that raises up but variable.   It came with cookbooks but I don't

know what happened to them.  I think that they may be in AR.  We brought the

Vita Mix from AR last time we were there which was summer before last.  But my

husband was ill then with cellulitis and a staph infection.  I transported him

in the backseat of the car so he could keep his legs up.  My brother passed away

and we had to go from there  to Ohio and then go back down as someone ran into

me and we wanted to have car repaired in AR as cheaper.  But found it wasn't

done well and had to do over after we got to FL again.  But insurance paid for

it down there but we  had to pay when got back and didn't fix all that was

broken.

Then before left to come home the roof of den was leaking badly and we had to

have a new roof put on that part of the house.  Dave didn't want to stay longer

so left without replacing the ceiling (wood panels) so don't know what we will

find when we get back there.  But no dialysis near there so we don't know how we

can even go again.  I may have to go down by myself and get work done and maybe

even have an auction.  Not sure we want to keep it as hubby can't really go.  We

would be better going to a hotel in town as closer to dialysis and to his kids

and grandkids.  I am off the track again.  Anyway, it looked like the 5000.

Scroll through the images here and see if you can tell which one it is.

http://www.google.com/search?q=vitamix+models & oe=UTF-8 & hl=en & client=safari & um=1 & \

ie=UTF-8 & tbm=isch & source=og & sa=N & tab=wi & ei=YPZlT-y0N8jY0QGipe3ICA & biw=768 & bih=90\

0 & sei=Y_ZlT-WuHsqztwfo6oT-DQ

That would help a lot. Sounds like you might have had one of the commercial

models.
