Guest guest
Hi , My name is , and I am a new member. My son's CMT has not been defined either. He has had nine surgical procedures to align his feet, but the neurological part is still a puzzle. He still has to rock his hips and bring his feet around to walk. His genetics specialist is trying to find a scientist in Poland who might be interested in discovering a possible new gene that is causing his CMT condition and further look for treatment if anything is available. What does your genetic testing show? My son's indicate the SH3TC3 Sequencing/unknown variant/single nucleotide change. For the rest of the genes, all look normal. I have high hopes that tratment may be available for CMT soon. I wish you a wonderful 2008! And good luck finding your dress shoes. God bless,
Guest guest
, This is what I wear for dress: All Skecher shoes have removeable insoles so that I can wear them with my plastic braces and wear with no insoles with my carbon fiber braces. I take these shoes to the shoemaker to put buckles on the as the velcro strips are too thin. The shoe above is the dressiest one I could find and I have worn them with formal atire. Maybe they will work for your braces. Skechers are pretty much all I wear these days. Good luck shoe shopping. Happy New Year! Lyn.
Guest guest
Hi Lyn, Thank you so much for the idea. I never thought of taking shoes to a shoemaker to have a strap attached.
