Guest guest
I wish I could say more but suffice it to say that I am soooooooo tired of dealing with idiots and heartless people and inconsiderate slobs day in and day out and it's taking a huge toll on me. I can't even talk about it in the forums. Back in the day when I was a member, I could because I was just another member. But since becoming a Co-Administrator, I no longer have that option and so everything stays locked up in real life and online because of how 'it' might look to others and how much trouble 'it' will probably cause in the long run. I'm so tired of it all. And I'm tired of being treated like a 'thing' instead of a human with emotions. Raven
Guest guest
Sorry to hear that you having to deal with idiots etc. I've found that I sometimes have to deal with not just idiots, but some seem to fall under the category of 'professional idiots' (sigh). I am not 100% sure why you cannot talk about things due to you being a co-admin', basically s*d what others think - if you need to get stuff off your chest do so and yet I do understand that sometimes it is more hassle than it is worth talking about some things on line. Generally I just deal with stuff and don't tend to say what is going on in my life online until usually later. I think I've mentioned before this is partly due to using what energy I have dealing with stuff and usually I have very little energy left once I have dealt with stuff. I hope things improve for you. > > I wish I could say more but suffice it to say that I am soooooooo tired > of dealing with idiots and heartless people and inconsiderate slobs day > in and day out and it's taking a huge toll on me. > > I can't even talk about it in the forums. " Here's why. There are some things that can be said as a member that people will nod in agreement to because they have suffered a similar fate at some point in time. Members will poast how they think and feel on the subject and too bad if the original poster gets angry or upset with your point of view. If the same thing is posted by a Co-Admin, regardless of the fact that people hav ealso suffered a similar fate at some point in time, all of a sudden, people are afraid to post how they think and feel on the subject. You see, there is a mistaken worry that if a person in authority (ie. the person who can moderate or ban you) gets angry or upset with your point of view, you could find yourself on the receiving end of retribution. Now it doesn't matter that I am fair on this board as are the other Co-Admins and the Admin. What matters is that I know this is a perception that is more than just a glancing concern among most people posting on message boards. And so what happens -- and has happened -- is that when I post about things as a Co-Admin, people tend to step around the white elephant in the middle of the room whereas when I was only a member a few years ago, people would offer their insight, their suggestions, their advice and such. wrote: " ... <snip> ... " Generally I'm like that as well but there are times when it helps more to speak of things as they happen. wrote: " ... <snip> ... I hope things improve for you ... <snip> ... " Thanks, . I hope things start improving for you and your son soon as well. I know you're going through some exceeding trying times at the moment. Guest guest
We must all accept feelings from each other, surely. Why would being an admin gag you? What uis infuriating me right now as I read another testimony to the bad deeds of adults, is thyat in another geroup I'm in they are discussing a long article on " why nerdas are unpopular " which has built into it an assumption that adults have consciences and chidlren don't. The type of assumption calculated to continue public support fro keeping children cattle-herded in institutions all day where those of our type get hurt. As we also do in exactly the same way as adults in any unregulated large group situations.
