fluid retention question

I may go to the DR before I get an answer from this group but its worth a shot!

I have had lower back pain for maybe 10 days or so. Chalked it up to sudden

weight gain from being on Prednisone.

The past few days it has been very painful and gets worse with activity which

really made me think it was no big deal. Now I am filling up with fluid. My

ankles/feet are very taut, and there is pitting edema. My fingers got so swollen

I had to take off my ring.

I just made the " possible " connection about 5 minutes ago I have had some odd

symptoms this week but chalked it up to holiday stress such as I fell asleep

sitting up on the couch and my mom woke me because I was breathing very odd, that

night I fell asleep in the

bathroom as well (TMI I'm so sorry!!) I woke up by hitting my head on the wooden

thing on the tank, odd things like that. My BP was very high today as well

140/100 doing a quick spot check but I figured it would be high with the fluid

retention.

If I wanted to be tortured I would go to an ER but I don't feel like being

tortured tonight. Any insight would be helpful I don't know if its just joint

swelling and the back pain is just a coincidence or

what. I will call the Dr in the AM but just thought I would ask around, this

group has been very helpful in the past!!

btw I hope everyone had wonderful holidays.
