Guest guest Posted November 3, 2007 Report Share Posted November 3, 2007 Gretchen, you recently sent us a study done in Italy about acetyl L-carnitine being studied for its analgesic effect on neuropathic pain, and the possibility that it can aid nerve regeneration. My doctor says she knows nothing about it, but sees no harm in my trying it. It's available OTC at Walgreen's. The study didn't say anything about the dose - it comes in 250 mg & 400mg.
