Guest guest
Speaking of shingles, if you have not had it, I would strongly consider the vaccine since the infection affects peripheral nerves. Has anyone out there had the vaccine? Thoughts? Sudarsky
Guest guest
, My understanding about the new vaccine is that it is for people 60 and older and that it is used 'off label' in younger people. Before I would consider it, I'd have to know more and speak to my doctor about it. Thanks for sharing about the vaccine. I didn't even know there was one. Guest guest
My husband with CMT and I without both had the vaccine. So far so good. No reaction to vaccine that I remember, so if it was sore, it wasn't significant. I did read that the vaccine is only about 50 % [i think} effective, but it would probably lessen the effect if you did get the disease.
