Gretchen, So glad you posted this. Those who are disabled ARE so used to being

dissed or ignored. It happened to me so bad in gym class in H.S. (I couldn't run

like others and was uncoordinated), I think it scarred me for life. I'm just

reading this today. But, this applies to every day. So, it is not really an old

issue, as not much really is new or old re: our disabilities. I wish things

would change for the better. I also like how she said " The nicest thing you can

say to a disabled person is 'Hello.' " . So true, so simple. Why is this so far

away from happening?
