Guest guest
Gretchen, So glad you posted this. Those who are disabled ARE so used to being dissed or ignored. It happened to me so bad in gym class in H.S. (I couldn't run like others and was uncoordinated), I think it scarred me for life. I'm just reading this today. But, this applies to every day. So, it is not really an old issue, as not much really is new or old re: our disabilities. I wish things would change for the better. I also like how she said " The nicest thing you can say to a disabled person is 'Hello.' " . So true, so simple. Why is this so far away from happening?
