Hi Geri,

All my life I've had the 'reverse effect' (as I call it) to some

medications. Ones that were supposed to help me sleep made me more

awake, ones for tremors only made them worse, etc.

Hi Geri,

Oh I am * very * verbal with them, explaining exactly what my reaction

to the medications are and I refuse to take them. Most of my docs have

been understanding about that, and a bit confused, but have attributed

it to my 'nervous system', lol I have also done research over the

years (before the Internet I was in libraries frequently perusing the

PDR) and I would * suggest * a medication. Fortunately, now the only

medication I need is for tremors and it works very well - no reverse

effect, rather I noticed a BIG difference within 24 hours.

Yup, sure do .... any hydrocodone pain relievers make me hyper and boy

do I crash hard afterwards. Soma, taken at bedtime gives me the creepy

crawl-lees, bedbugs etc feeling and does little for muscle cramps. Vytorin

causes me unbelieveable muscle pain. This last year has been hell trying to find

the right formulation/combination of medications ....without going BANKRUPT!

....Like muscle relaxers making you turn into a tight ball or high blood

pressure meds making you feel stressed or you heart pound.?

My son has taken Ritalin take for ADD. I take Welbutrin for depression and have

taken Celexa a cousin to Lexapro. The draw back to Celexa was weight gain and

wow was I always tired. I also got addicted to it. I would get very sick if I

went more then 3 days without a pill. I do better on Welbutrin.

Does anyone know if Wellbutrin or Lexapro are safe for people with CMT?
