Recently I had x-rays done of my right foot and it showed several

hammertoe deformities. My question is why am I still able to bend most of my

toes? I read that there are two type: flexible and rigid. My nephews were

rigid (had surgery.) We both have the same type of CMT, 1B. So can someone

explain the difference in the toes to me and what exactly this means as far as

progression or if this is all that will happen. My doctor sent me a referral to

a podiatrist. Is this the right move to make at this time or should I wait it

out?

Thanks again,

Teri
