A Santa Superior Court jury decided Tuesday that Jarek Molski should get $5,000 from the Mandarin Touch Restaurant, whose owner says he plans an appeal. Jurors agreed that Molski, a paralyzed Los Angeles area man, was discriminated against because the restaurant failed to remove architectural barriers blocking wheelchair access. A Los Angeles federal judge ruled three years ago that Molski is " vexatious litigant " who filed lawsuits on insufficient grounds.
