Guest guest
If she was interested in being a hip hop artist, she would be actively working towards that goal, . And while there's nothing illegal about asking a group if someone can perform with them, there IS something illegal about not disclosing all the facts as to who the 'client' you are managing really is so as to circumvent any 'confusion' that might arise from identical names such as Kim Hill and Kim Hill. Raven > > She hasn't said that she wasn't interested in being a hip hop artist. I haven't had the chance to ask her yet; and if she is, then I want to do everything in my power to help her out; and there's nothing illegal about just asking if we can talk about performing with the group. If she says she's not interested, I'll respect that and do nothing further to encourage her. > God bless, Irelan >
Guest guest
The problem isn't that you're " not going to quit asking until [you] get the information [you] need for contacting the group " but rather that from the beginning of your comments in this forum, you have had no problem with misleading the Black Eyed Peas until such a time as someone asks you SPECIFICALLY if YOUR Kim Hill is THE Kim Hill. That's the problem, . You are barking up the wrong tree if you think this is the way to get YOUR Kim Hill to sit up and take notice of you to the extent that she wants to consider dating you. This is a very BAD idea, , and we just don't want to see you get charged with a criminal act and we don't want to see you set yourself up for a romantic let down. Raven > > As I just said, I'm not going to call the group if the Kim Hill doesn't want me to. I'll respect her wish. If she'd rather just keep the job she's got now and not bother pursuing a career in music, then I'll respect her wish. As for being myself, this is being myself. Just because she happens to have the same name as one of their former members and isn't the same one doesn't mean she shouldn't have a chance to perform with the group if she wants to, and I'm not going to quit asking until I get the information I need for contacting the group. > I might try googling again with different wording than I used before. > God bless, Irelan
Guest guest
Actually, I'm pretty much interested in just being friends with her; and if I could get her to treat me the same way that she would another girl, I'll be satisfied with that. Another reason that I'm interested in trying to get her working with this group is that I'm wanting to work with the group too. Only I'm not interested in performing since I'm not familiar enough with their songs. If this was the Beach Boys, I'd probably have no problem. I'm interested in trying to work as security for the band by helping to keep obsessed fans from going onstage and acting as bodyguard for her. That'd be neat because then I'd be getting paid to do something I'd love to be doing, which would be looking out for her and keeping her safe from obsessed fans seeking autographs. I wish I didn't have human needs so I could do that sort of thing for her for free. There is a possibility that she might not have considered trying to get a job as a hip hop artist, and in any case, it wouldn't hurt to try. Guest guest
Actually, , this is a pipe dream. if she hadn't considered trying to get a job as a hip hop artist it's because she isn't passionate about a career in music. Your views of the music industry are terribly naive. You do not even have a basic understanding of the industry you are hoping to break into by way of subterfuge and more. If you are truly interested in the music industry, find a job as an intern at a booking agency in your city or town and learn everything you can about being a booking agent. Then decide where you want to go from there. You are courting disaster going the way you're going. Guest guest
I've tried to get involved in the music industry myself and failed. I've asked several gospel singers if there was any chance I could perform in a concert with them and got turned down without even an audition, and it's not like I don't have singing talent. For example, there's this one song that the Beach Boys recorded called "Then I Kissed Her." I've listened to that song several times on my CD, and I've memorized it. When I sing it, I think I sound better than when the Beach Boys do it. I know the Beach Boys aren't a gospel group, but they're still pretty popular. I at least want to ask Kim if she'd be interested in a career as a hip hop artist; and if she says yes, then I'll be asking here for the information that's listed on that myspace site for the Black Eyed Peas. I'll be completely honest about the fact that she's not the same Kim Hill. I'm hoping that having the same name as one of their former singers might rouse their curiosity and make them want to at least hear her. Guest guest
It won't happen, . The days when musicians could just walk into a record company or a management office and get signed on a snap are long gone. It's called the MUSIC + BUSINESS because there' music and there's business and in the years that have passed, the business has become more cut throat and more like traditional hostile business ventures.
