Guest guest
Hi Sylvia, and a warm welcome to you. Thanks so much for the introduction. You and I had that tendon surgery at the same age. If you want information about so many aspects of CMT, spend some time reading through our Archives (past messages from the last 10 years) and also there is information in our Files section. You may also find some resources in our Links section. Gretchen
Guest guest
Sylvia, Hi! Welcome! I have CMT 1A. My hands are just now getting affected too. Before it was just my feet. I'm 38 so I guess I had a lot of good years with my hands, typing, etc. Anyway, My son doesn't seem to have it and I am so grateful for that too. I just moved to NC. I lived in Buffalo, NY all my life and the cold just got to be too much for me. What part of NC are you in? I just found there's a support group that meets in Raleigh. I'm in Greensboro and went to Raleigh on the Sunday when I thought the meeting was. Anyway, I got to meet the group leader who also has CMT. It's nice to meet someone else with it since I have been dealing with this primarily myself all my life with no support and until now have been working full time and often 2 jobs even while in college. Being a single mom is still work but it's different. I can pace my work at home. Good to know of another CMTer who didn't give up! Take care, Dawn
