I'm working full-time from home now as an editor and writer.My attorney advised me to pursue action against my employer with the EEOC, and I received notice from them last week that I do have a claim. They sent me a mediation request form, a notice of charges form, and a non disclosure agreement, which I've signed and returned.I know that when I first mentioned this, I gave a very wrong impression that I was out for money (I have AS; I don't always communicate well). I was embarrassed and thought I'd given people on the list a bad impression of me, so I've pretty much just been lurking.But, I thought people might be interested in knowing the latest. " Au contraire.... We didn't think that you were out for money, but as an admin, I felt it necessary not to encourage people who ARE out for money to go after it. " For me, I just didn't want NTs to latch on to the money aspect and ignore the much larger problems that are obviously happening at your previous place of employment. In the past (most recently again), I have found that when NTs are in the wrong and know they are in the wrong, their first reaction is to attack and destroy the other side/person so they don't have to deal with their own poor choices and the repercussions therein. One of my characteristics is to be very hard on myself when I actually do, or even appear to, miscommunicate., I've been freelancing through Guru.com for two years; I just amped up the volume of work I did.
